Vitamin B5 Acne FAQ
What percentage of
people see results from vitamin B5 treatment?
In Dr. Leung's
clinical study, over 90% of B5 users experienced almost total
remission of acne. There's an excellent chance Clear5 will work
for you. The most common reasons for
failure are:
|
1. |
Taking
too low of a dosage. The recommended dosage is based upon
average acne severity. If you start out low and do not see results
within 2 weeks, you may need a higher dosage. Remember to spread out
your packets throughout the day (morning and night) for best results. |
|
2. |
Not
sticking with a daily regimen. Especially during the first
month, you need to stick to your regimen every day! Our
easy-to-drink B5 acne formula makes this far easier than
mega-dosing. |
|
3. |
Irritating your skin with topical acne treatments. It's
perfectly safe to use Clear5 alongside topical treatments, but if
you find these products are causing dry skin, irritation or other negative reactions, you're better off without them. For more
information, check out our page on
topical acne treatments.

Note:
Vitamin B5 is sensitive to heat. To maintain effectiveness, keep
Clear5 stored in a cool, dry place, out of direct sunlight.
Are there
any side effects to vitamin B5?
Vitamin B5 is all-natural and
water-soluble. It has never exhibited
any level of toxicity, even at extremely high intakes. For the vast
majority of Clear5 users, the only effect is clear skin. A few
temporary side effects may effect some individuals:
- Stomach
irritation or diarrhea (Some people experience this as a temporary
condition while your stomach adjusts to the increased levels of B5.
Any discomfort usually disappears after just a few days. It is recommended that
you take our supplements with meals and plenty of water in order to reduce the risk of these side effects.
If persistent, reduce your dosage.)
All known side
effects are temporary. If you are allergic or hyper-sensitive to any
of our ingredients, or experience any other side effects, lower your
dosage or discontinue taking Clear5. Use only as directed.
Is it safe
to combine Clear5 with other medications?
Yes, it is
perfectly safe to use Clear5 alongside other medications, but be
aware that if topical treatments are
agitating your skin it may be working against your progress. B5 is also good alternative treatment if you are
looking to avoid or quit taking
prescription
acne treatments.
What about the other
ingredients in Clear5?
Our formula includes a unique ratio of
supporting vitamins and minerals that enhance the effects of vitamin
B5 while reducing the risk of side effects. Each of these
ingredients plays an important role. For instance, zinc aids in the regulation of
your oil glands and Biotin works together with vitamin B5 to
enhance metabolism while promoting healthy hair and nails. Visit our
ingredients page for a full
list of all the vitamins and minerals found in Clear5. Information
on many of these ingredients can also be found in our vitamins
guide.
Is it
safe to use Clear5 if you are pregnant?
Currently
there is not enough research to determine vitamin B5's effects on
pregnancy (if any). Because of this, we recommend that pregnant
mothers do not use Clear5.
Is
Clear5 effective for adults as well as teenagers?
Definitely.
Clear5 works equally well to stop both teenage and adult acne. In
fact, a large percentage of our customers are adults. You may want
to read our guide on
understanding
adult acne in order to find out more about this
condition.
Is
Clear5
effective in fighting body acne as well as facial acne?
Yes, one of the best things
about Clear5 is that it eliminates acne over your whole body in one
step! Vitamin B5 is effective at stopping back and body acne as well
as facial breakouts. However, B5's main
strength is in prevention, so there are some extra steps you may
want to take to make sure that you get rid of current body
acne as fast as possible. Check out our guide to
back and body
acne.
Are
there any other vitamins that can increase the effectiveness of B5?
Some vitamins
may aid in B5 intake. However, others may actually diminish the
effectiveness of vitamin B5. It is not recommended that you take
large doses of other vitamins while using Clear5. In order to best
supplement Clear5,
we recommend a once-daily multivitamin or
B-complex. This will help ensure you get a proper balance of
all your daily vitamins and minerals.
Can I get an initial break-out from using Clear5?
This is not a
problem for most people, but in some cases
the action of vitamin B5 tightening your pores can actually push
existing bacteria to the surface, causing a break-out. If this
happens to you, stick with it! Once the existing acne is out
of your system your skin will naturally clear up.
Other B5
regimens require 10 grams a day to be effective. How can you
promise the same results with an average of only 2-3 grams a day?
Because of
methods that Clear5 use to deliver the vitamins to your body. Your
body can only absorb a limited amount from typical vitamin tablets
or capsules at a given time, and the excess vitamin B5 ends up
getting flushed right out of you. We solve this problem by using
both high-absorbance liquid vitamins and time-released tablets which gradually deliver the B5 over a period
of about 6 hours.
Thus, we are able to offer a treatment that provides all the
benefits of mega-dosing, without all the hassle.
I'm mostly
clear, but I still have problem areas around my neckline, etc.
Even the best
internal treatments cannot help you if you're damaging yourself on
the outside. This particular problem typically afflicts men with sensitive skin who irritate their skin
through poor shaving habits. See our page on
shaving
advice for men with
sensitive skin. Also, be aware that some other
popular acne
treatments (such as those that include benzoyl peroxide and/or
salicylic acid) can actually cause sensitive
skin. Note that a similar problem can occur for users who experience
acne along their hairline due to hair gel clogging your pores.
Always take your skin into consideration.
Can I
lose weight because of vitamin B5?
This generally
only happens with high-dose users, but yes, vitamin B5 can aid your
body in metabolizing more than just skin oil. In large doses it can
sometimes increase your digestive metabolism. This is why some people who
mega-dose find that they are constantly hungry, and lose weight if
they don't eat more. At this level you're probably taking more B5
than is necessary to stop acne, but some people may not view this as
a problem.
Another
website said that taking vitamin B5 for acne is dangerous...
Simply put, there is absolutely
no scientific evidence for any dangerous side
effects resulting from vitamin B5, even at levels well above our
recommended dose. Unfortunately, some of our competitors have no
problem spreading misinformation to
promote their own products or "acne secrets" ebooks. Some side effects
may cause temporary discomfort, but these do not last long, and it's
medically impossible for B5 to stay in your system and have any
negative long-term effects. Clear5 is especially safe since it does
not require users to mega-dose.
